Unsure about Pelvic Floor Therapy? Watch our video explaining what to expect from a first time pelvic floor therapy patient.

Pregnancy and delivery are obvious signs that the body is changing. However, changes that occur to the pelvic floor girdle during the aging process are less obvious. Pelvic floor issues such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and changes in sexual activity have a negative impact on daily life. Whether you are planning a pregnancy, or are 90 years young, now is an especially important time to pay attention to those muscles “down there”.

Pelvic Health Education Sessions offer a baseline look at your pelvic girdle health and provide training on proper pelvic floor exercises designed to strengthen and optimize these muscles. These sessions are an invaluable tool for anyone who wants to learn more about their body and become fully in control of their pelvic health. Sessions are non-invasive and pain-free, with no internal examination.

Visit 1: Meet and consult with your compassionate pelvic health specialist to receive a baseline assessment of your pelvic girdle. Then, learn how to become more aware of the pelvic muscles and correctly perform valuable exercises and techniques for you to practice on your own.

Visit 2: After practicing the exercises, techniques and advice, you will meet with your pelvic health specialist again for a biofeedback session to measure your results. This non-invasive process provides an instant, real time view on how your muscles are performing and what areas may need focused attention.

Visit 3: During your final visit, your specialist will re-assess your current baseline and provide a detailed plan for your pelvic health needs for the future.

Pelvic Health Consultation & Education Sessions are self-pay (3 visits for $199) and do not require a referral from a doctor. While pelvic floor therapy is covered by most insurance plans, our consultation sessions allow an alternate path to care, without a doctor’s referral.

The benefits of a healthy pelvic girdle are numerous:

  • Improve bladder and bowel control
  • Reduce the risk of prolapse
  • Improve recovery from childbirth, gynecological surgery or prostate surgery
  • Increase sexual sensation.
  • Increase confidence and quality of life
